Frequently Asked Questions

How long do you host flash (swf) or unity (unity3d) files?

Right now, the plan is to keep your files on as long as we can. Files that don't receive any views in a lengthy period may be subject to removal, however. If you sign up for an account, we'll ensure a minimum time before your swfs are removed.

When I upload a file, what does the 'Access' option mean?

There are four possible access levels - however some are only available depending on your account type. If you aren't signed in, your file will automatically be public.

Public
The file can be viewed by anyone, could come up when the random button is clicked, and could be indexed by search engines.
Hidden
The file can be viewed by anyone with the URL, but won't come up when the random button is clicked and shouldn't be indexed by search engines.
Password
You choose a password when uploading the file. Only people with the URL and the password can access the file.
Private
Only you, as the signed in uploader of the file, can view the file.

Where do you store flash or unity files?

We store all files on the cloud, available to as many people in as short of time as possible.

How do I remove a file I uploaded?

If you hold an account, you can simply find the SWF or unity file in your file list and click the delete button.

If you do not have an account, a deletion link will be provided when you upload your SWF. If you have lost your deletion link or if you want something taken down, just let us know. We'd love to work with you regarding your content.

Similarly, if you find that some of your own content is hosted here without your permission, submit a removal request with a link so we can deal with that as fast as possible.

Can I edit a SWF or Unity file I uploaded?

At the moment, this isn't possible. You can update information regarding your swf (such as the title, description and access requirements) if you have an account, however.

How do I sitelock my SWF on FastSWF?

We host our files on cdn.fastswf.com. When sitelocking your files, make sure to use that URL instead of www.fastswf.com
